The Bracelet Story
Spandex is cut and then stretched to give it the ability to be used as a tie for the bracelet.
- Faith: In the same way that the spandex is stretched, FAITH stretches us changing our appearance.
- Obedience: If you hold the tie up and down it looks like the #1. In math a zero is a placeholder and a number brings value to the places being held by the zeros. In a similar fashion, everything in life holds value, but when we place Obedience to God’s plan in front of all other things, like the number one in front of zeros, it changes the place value of everything else in life.
Bracelet: The Bracelet is in the shape of a rectangle. It has boundaries on all sides.
- The rectangle represents the physical boundaries of your life. Ps 139: 5&16
Story: Words were embedded into the fabric through pressure and heat creating the story of your bracelet.
- Just like the application of heat and pressure applied to the words on the bracelet allow them to embed into the fabric, so too does the heat and pressure of hard times allow God to write His story on your heart. The sorrow suffering in your life is what God uses to grow a strong and mature faith that places your hope in Him! Romans 5:3-5, 1 Peter 5:10, James 1:2-4
- Your story is what you write into your life, and it is your surrendered story that will stand beside Jesus, the Lamb, to defeat the enemy. Don’t understate the power of your story! Revelation 12:10-11
Rivets: The fabric was pierced and hammered to place the rivets at both ends of the bracelet.
- On the cross, Jesus, the Lamb of God, stretched His hands to be pierced for our sins. His stretched hands on the cross hold both the justice and mercy of God in perfect tension. Isaiah 53:5
Tension: the tension of the spandex allows the bracelet to function.
- It is the tension of our faith and obedience, binding our story to God’s story through the sacrifice of Jesus that allows our lives to be what God intended! Ecclesiastes 7:18
