Three Intentional Actions

We believe that there are ACTIONS (movements) that should be evident fruits in the lives of believers. The ministry of "If Then Move" was born from this belief.  Every moment is an "IF" - What you do with it, is your "THEN" - So..."MOVE" (take action) in a way that bears Kingdom Fruit!

1. The ACTION of growing in Christ-like character.

As followers of Jesus Christ, our character must change to be more and more like His character. This is a life-long journey.  Although we will never achieve perfection in character until the day that we die, the pattern and trajectory of our character growth should aim to be more like Jesus. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

2. The ACTION of serving others.

homeless manIt is better to give than to receive! In Acts 20:35  Paul says, In everything I did, I showed you that we must work hard and help the weak. We must remember the words of the Lord Jesus. He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Once we have received the gift of God’s salvation through Jesus, our lives become His. Jesus said that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Even as Christians, we often get caught in the trap of self-service. The idea of joy in giving is not new, but the idea of serving others before ourselves is against our natural human desire.  When we intentionally decide to see the needs of others and serve them, God rewards us with a JOY that is unexplainable.

3. The ACTION of Disciple Making!

The Great Commandment is, “Love one another as I have loved you” John 15:12. Obedience to this verse is achieved through developing Christ-like character that cares about the needs of others. The Great Commission is, “Go and make disciples…” Matthew 28:19a. Every person that we encounter is somewhere on their journey either away from or toward God.  As Christians, our responsibility is to encourage them to take at least one step in the direction of God’s will and plan for their lives. This one MOVEMENT encompasses both evangelism and discipleship.  As we learn to listen to and obey the commands of Jesus, our lives become intentional to share His love with the world through both our actions and our words.

Our desire is for you to find the pure JOY that God longs to give when you give of yourself to others for the Kingdom of God!
